Netherlands and into Germany

Edam's Grote Kerk (large church) is also known as St. Nicholaaskerk.  It was built at the beginning of the 1400s but in the 1600s it was extensively damaged by lightning and fires. It was rebuilt and is now one of the largest 3-ridged churches in Europe.
